Endless Mountains Veterinary Center – Tunkhannock is seeking a compassionate and experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Tunkhannock Team.<\/p>\n

Under the supervision of a Head Veterinary Technician\/Assistant, the Veterinary Technician role will fulfill both the technical and customer service needs of the clinic. The ideal candidate will have 5+ Years of in-clinic experience, be comfortable with a steady- to- fast paced schedule, be self-motivated, be team oriented and have a desire to learn and grow. They should be energetic, articulate, and have a positive attitude. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn new skills and develop their talents as a veterinary professional. Must have a passion for caring for animals and excellent customer service skills as the veterinary technician or assistant will work directly with animal owners.<\/p>\n

Veterinary Assistant Duties and Responsibilities<\/h3>\n

  • <\/i> Obtaining and recording complete medical histories<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Obtaining and recording patient vitals<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Obtaining and processing digital radiographs<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Conduct technician visits<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Assist veterinarians and fellow technicians and assistants with medical, diagnostic, and surgical procedures<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Client communication and education<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Patient handling and restraint<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Phlebotomy<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Collection of blood, urine and fecal samples<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Intravenous catheter placement<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> All phases of the anesthetic process (premedication, induction, intubation, monitoring, recovery)<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Preparing animals, instruments and equipment for surgery<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Drug calculations<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Recommending, running and processing in house and send out lab work<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Dental prophylaxis<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> General cleaning<\/li>\n
  • <\/i> Assist with reception duties as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    <\/div>\n5+ Years of experience is required. Starting wage is based on experience and skill and is determined through a hands-on, in-person interview process.<\/p>\n
