Regulatory Work
When you cross state lines, you are required by law to have a health certificate for every horse traveling with you. To obtain a health certificate, your horse must have a current negative Coggins, and a USDA-accredited veterinarian must examine your horse to ensure they are disease free and healthy enough to travel. The certificate is good for 30 days from your horse’s inspection date, although some states offer a six-month health certificate to those who travel frequently with their horse. Our veterinary team can perform a health examination and help you research the requirements at your final destination to ensure you can travel easily with your horse.
Our team can help you develop a complete equine health program to keep your horse healthy and happy. Contact us to schedule an appointment.
