Licensed Veterinary Technician
Full-Time
Small Animal Veterinary Technicians are responsible for, but not limited to, educating clients on products and services available, preparing, reconstituting, and drawing up of medications and vaccines, performing laboratory and diagnostic tests, and explaining an animal’s condition or medication to the pet owners. They are also responsible for assisting in surgery, drawing blood, placing IV catheters, taking radiographs and running in-house diagnostic tests.
To be considered for this position, one must currently be licensed in NY, or enrolled in a Veterinary Technician program that, when finished, will be eligible to take the VTNE. Candidates currently licensed in other states will be required to apply for a NY license.
Starting wage will depend on experience and displayed skill.
